Hearing Based Giving Philosophy

DLM's giving philosophy for donors is simply how we have been led to operate as a ministry. It is not a requirement or the way God may have other ministries operate. DLM has a give if you want to give and can give in joy donor philosophy.

Rather than replying on marketing and fund raising methods created and designed by people that can often operate without any requirement of God coming through. Our donor philosophy is we make the needs known to God in prayer and let Him speak to the people of His choice, the amount He wants them to give and confirm it to them to send it when it is needed. 

DLM aims to teach and show people why the man upon knowing the value of the Kingdom of Heaven in joy went and sold all he had to get it - when we can not understand how someone would in joy sell all they have to get the Kingdom of God, it is because we have not grasped the value of it, there is never a giving or money problem, only a vision problem when we don't grasp the value of the Kingdom of God, so that in our joy, we would sell anything to get it. All accounts of people who gave in great joy to Jesus, had all experienced the love of God, as a gift of God and grasped a small part of the Kingdom of God, so that they in joy gave freely.

We lead by example. We do not ask others to do what we are not willing to do and or have not done first. We teach joy based giving, having heard from God, what to give, who to give to and when to give it. We follow this philosophy and experience the joy that results. We do not preach a give to get gospel, while Malachi does say to test God in giving, the New Testament takes every command of the Old Covenant and adds to it. Tithing did not impress Jesus, rather he raised the standard on giving, if we go about giving to get we miss the mark. God does not want us giving to get or in fear, but giving out of joy from the love He has for us and for what He has done for us. This is the philosophy of giving we teach as we are called to trust God to show up and provide for the needs of the ministry. We also believe this is an important part of developing a personal relationship with Jesus, to be in communion with Him and to experience intimacy with Him in a conversational relationship with Him.
