1) How are you intending to accomplish your mission in the short term?

First, if you have not read our long term plan of action it is listed on the ministry structure page. Currently we are on phase one in forming a fellowship to form a ministry base of men and women who are walking with God. Once this phase is established and strong it will grow into the next stages as outlined in the structure plan of action for the ministry.

2) What is your strategy and focus for the next few weeks, months and year?

We do not have a set time frame for each stage along the way in our plan of action. Our time frame is to as a community and fellowship seek God's leading and in learning to hear his voice and direction to enter into each stage as the Holy Spirit guides us.

We approach ministry from a crawl, walk and then run plan of action. The time within those stages will at times be longer and sometimes be shorter. That is the nature of walking with God - unpredictable at times.

Our focus and strategy is to learn to listen for the voice of God (not audibly but within the heart and mind) as we walk with God as a fellowship base. We do not ask how, but rather seek the Lord's direction in what to do daily and what to plan for in the coming week, month and year. Everything you see thus far on our website has been developed and come about in following this method.

3) Is DLM a supplement to involvement with a local church or is the idea to become a church?

DLM is a supplement to involvement with a local church - not a church. DLM is a parachurch ministry that aims to come alongside the church as a body (universal) and the local church to help men and women learn to walk with God through the lifemap model.

DLM is not in it's vision taking steps towards becoming a church, college or a seminary with the vision of the Kingdom Manor and or it's structured plan of action. If anything like something in existence already it could best be labeled as a co-ed monastery intended to first be a place of refuge, retreat and growth centered around the lifemap model to aid in the restoration of the heart, renewal of the mind and empowerment of vision.

Our vision is through the lifemap model and our structure to help raise up leaders alive in God and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be world changers. Our view of world changers is one who knows their calling and who has specific vision within their life calling awakened by God. This may be a woman's vision to raise a family of world changers from youth or it may be a woman's vision to start a mission to provide a home to orphans in Africa. Just as it may be to start a business or to become a professor or doctor to impact the Kingdom of God. Any vision and any calling can plug into our lifemap model and learn to walk with God.

Yet, getting to that place in the lifemap model to know ones calling and or vision is  something most followers of Christ are not reaching in their walk with God. We aim not only to help people get to that place in the lifemap model in their walk with God, but to create with the Kingdom Manor and our ministry plan of action in our structure an environment in which men and women can grow and learn to walk into that vision God has given them.

4) Are ministry staff involved in a local church(s)?

Yes, ministry staff members are encouraged to be a part of a local church, bible study groups, personal devotions and reading of Christian books.

5) How can I get involved with DLM?

The criteria of who we are looking for in a local ministry base are those who have entered into or who are seeking to enter the process of the restoration of the heart, renewal of the mind and awakening of vision from within their life's calling.

This process is best outlined in our lifemap model. Those interested in becoming a part of our local fellowship base for the ministry should be in agreement with our mission, vision and purpose found on our about us page and be in agreement with our statement of faith

Our primary focus at this time is forming a fellowship base of men and women awakened to the message this ministry vision is a part of carrying within what we believe to be a greater movement of God. Thus our focus is on discipleship and not on evangelism directly at this time - although we believe when a fellowship is walking in this message one by product is relationship evangelism.

Those not in or around the Kansas City Metro area interested in getting involved with DLM we would ask to pray about starting a fellowship base in your local area. We believe this is not just a local movement, but a global movement. The message of the lifemap model also being one that may or may not be defined as a model, but a process in which God works in changing lives that brings about irrevocable life change for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

Our plan of action for the structure in many stages may also be replicated and advance in other cities of the world. The advantages of having multiple fellowships walking in this message growing simultaneously would aid in the establishment of the Kingdom Manor. At this time the location of the Kingdom Manor is not known and may very well be intended to be established in another city or region than our base in the Kansas City area at this time.

6) How is the vision of DLM different from a church?

DLM differs from the mission of the local church in having a global focus on the awakening and empowerment of heart, mind and vision (our lifemap model). It is our goal and desire that from this process and through creating environments to foster growth that the irrevocable lifelong changes in men and women that result will produce world changers for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

The mission of a church is reaching the lost in and around that geographical area the church is located in and to aid in spiritual growth of the members of that church.

We live in a very fast paced culture that makes it hard to shift out of the fast pace of life. We aim to come along side the church to help those in need of a spiritual refuge, pilgrimage and or renewal with the lifemap process. As such DLM in its mission is more like a co-ed monastery than a church. Though house groups will not be co-ed and the Kingdom Manor will have a men's wing, women's wing and a family wing.

DLM along the same lines of the L'Abri started by Francis and Edith Shaffer is only seeking those God is leading or calling to enter deeper into the lifemap model. Whereas the local church is reaching out in its mission to everyone around it and as a byproduct has a congregation of members in vastly different places spiritually of whom may not be ready or willing to enter into these deeper areas of heart, mind and vision. To enter into the lifemap model process one must be ready to fully surrendered to Christ - and as such the structure of the local church of which rarely has a congregation entirely surrendered to Christ would present a problem to growing a fellowship as a hole in this message.

It is our hope to produce resources to help all of God's people in the process of the lifemap model, but our focus for personal involvement at the Kingdom Manor and House Groups is very focused on those wanting to grow deeper with God so that they may return empowered and ready to help serve their local churches and enter into their calling.

While DLM is not focused on evangelism directly (unlike the local church), relationship evangelism tends to be a byproduct of men and women fully alive in God. Just as Jesus fully alive was alluring to the lost people around him who lacked life, joy and purpose.

7) Who specifically are you trying to reach? And who do you see benefiting from this ministry?

DLM is focused on primarly and intentionally reaching anyone who has entered into or who is seeking to enter the process of the restoration of the heart, renewal of the mind and awakening of vision from within their life's calling. (aka our lifemap model)

Those who will most benefit from DLM are those seeking spiritual refuge, spiritual pilgrimage and or a time renewal and seeking God's healing, restoration, clarity and getting their focus into the right perspective.

DLM is not in it's primary goal or focus a evangalism ministry, but one of healing and discipleship to produce leaders and world changers who discover and stay focused for life on the vision God gives to them to pursue for His glory.

It is our hope to produce resources to help all of God's people in the process of the lifemap model, but our focus for personal involvement at the Kingdom Manor and House Groups is very focused on those wanting to grow deeper with God so that they may return empowered and ready to help serve their local churches and enter into their calling.
